How Does Your Dog Food Rate?

We all love our pets. Don't you think they are worth a quality food? Take a minute to read the article below to check out if your food is quality or "fast food"(Beneful, Purina One,etc.) for dogs.




"*Foods with whole meat, fish or poultry as their first ingredient are given higher ratings. By the same token, foods which contain meat or poultry "by-products" are given lower scores.

*By the same token, dog food that contains cheap, "mill-run" processed leftover grains is scored lower.

*Foods that contain BHA, BHT, or ethoxyquin are given low marks. These substances are used to stop the fats in dog food from going rancid. This alone should give you pause to feed it to your dog."
